snowflakes for monday?

oh no, i'm not talking about thread today!

impatiens

my poor impatiens :( i hope they make it.

Hello? Spring? where are you? this is TEXAS?!?
(hehehee ck out my Texas Truck - i love my 'burban! :D -- so sad all covered in snow)

yes, it's dark out. we are up before the sun. brrrrr - it's cold!

yesterday was normal. hubby even mowed. here's the proof on my doggie's feet:
Sally's green! Josh's green!
aren't they cute!?!

i haven't made a thread snowflake yet today. i know i'm supposed to re-do the one from last week, but i don't know... think i'll look at the next pattern and see if i like it better.

the construction going on in the house is driving me mad! no matter how much i sweep and run the floormate, there is white powder all over the floor! UGH - curse the drywall dust!! i now understand why people go stay in a hotel during renovations. before i always thought it was kinda crazy and a waste of money... not anymore!

on the knitting front - i'm no good. i start out with 10 cast on and then after a few inches of work, i have around 20! i know i'm adding them somewhere in the purl, but i just can't figure it out! i'm going to sit down with it and my instruction dvd today and see what i come up with. hopefully i will be able to solve my problem.

well, that's it for now, ya'll. i have to scrub walls in the hall and then start taping the moulding off..... they are supposed to get re-textured today! WOOHOO!

Yikes! I don't think your impatiens will survive that. :(

What kind of yarn are you using to learn knitting? A plain yarn, or a novelty type? I recommend plain for learning. Hmmm... my guess would be that you're not pulling the old stitch off the needle after you do the new stitch, but I don't know enough about knitting yet to be sure. Good luck!

the impatiens might survive, I have faith!

as for the dust -- I know what you mean! since we bought our house in aug it's been in a constant state of construction that just moves from room to room. dust everywhere, tools everywhere... aii!

the doggies are so cute :)

Oh my gosh. I will NOT complain about our chilly, cloudy weather anymore.....I hope your flowers do survive! And I hope sunshine finds us both....soon!!!

Where in Texas are you? My sweetie is in Dallas (I'll be joining him in 3 mos! Woo hoo!) and he hasn't mentioned anything about snow. Hmm....

It snowed just to give you a hard time about Snowflake Mondays, that's all. Of course, if that were true we'd be getting buckets of the stuff because I missed it today. Trying to finish up the Mother's Day roses! I'm never going to make it. They'll get done in time, but they have to be mailed too.

seriously, those are the CUTEST dawgies ever. =)

I agree if your purling and gettting double stitches you might not be dropping off the stitch.

The doggies are cuties.

Sorry about the dust. Can you put a sucker fan in the window. I don't know if that works in the snow but we use it in the summer.

D

yech, is that really snow?? Maybe it is just drywall dust that escaped the house? LOL
Those doggies are soooooooo cute - I laughed with their green footsies, hahaaa, definitely lawn mowing proof.

I just love the color green on your pup's paws. They are cute! You should definitly do that around Easter, and tell everyone they were coloring eggs. LOL
